A new payment model for writers.

• Seasons will stay in print, and you’ll get paid a monthly percentage of GROSS (not net) for every copy of your season sold. The only way you won’t get paid is if I don’t get paid either.
• You’ll retain all rights except world serial e-pub, which means that even while you’re getting paid every month for your story, you’ll retain print serial, print novel, and e-pub novel, voice, movie, and other formats.

What if we fail?

Shit happens. I cannot promise that this venture of mine will stay in print forever. Lots of e-zines tank, and I have my eyes wide open. Further, I’m opening this in a shaky economy. Hell, I’m opening this now BECAUSE of the shaky economy, and because I think I can make some writers and editors some regular money, and create an amazing publication in the process. At this point, I have a good track record with successful, profitable e-publication, but I acknowledge that what I’m doing with Rebel Tales is something that has never been tried.

I think it’s worth trying. So I’m doing it, and doing it now, when it will have a chance to make a difference.

If we fail, it will not be because we did not have the courage to take the leap.
